God’s faithfulness has been evident in people’s lives from the past. Read Hebrews 11, and 1 Corinthians 10 and the Old Testament to see a great God who is faithful to his promises. Read some of these stories to see how they describe God at work in history.
Devotionals
"Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God." Many devos are good inspirational stories, but these will lead you to wrestle with the Word of God itself. Read from God's word regularly to know Him, the author of the Bible.
Conflict
Personal conflicts happen all the time in our families, our workplaces, or even among strangers. God's word has a lot to say about conflict. Read the Psalms, Ephesians, James and Colossians to gain insight about life and dealing with people.
Dark Night of the Soul
Sometimes you feel distant from God. Sin separates from him and sometimes we may not know why we feel that way. But, He is always the same. Read Job, the Psalms, and Philippians to gain strength during those "dark nights of the soul."
Family, Parenting, and Marriage
The Christian life begins in the home. Read Ephesians 5 & 6, along with Deuteronomy 6 for a foundation concerning God and the family.
Sins to Forsake
Read Psalm 32, 119:9-11, 1 Corinthians 10, 1 Peter, Matthew 5-7 and Colossians to see that "we must be killing sin or sin will be killing us."
Church Life and Membership
Read the gospels, 1 Timothy and Ephesians to find out what God's word says to the bride of Christ.
Missions and Evangelism
Read the gospels and Acts and hear the call to make disciples of all nations, making Christ known to all people.
Assurance of Salvation
In 2 Corinthians 13:5, God's word tell us to "examine ourselves to see if we are in the faith." Read the Sermon on the Mount in Matthew 5-7 and 1 John to see what the Bible teaches about assurance and proof of salvation.
Christian Life
Want to know how to live the Christian life? It cannot take place apart from Christ! Start by reading the gospels and see how Christ calls us to follow him.
Biblical Doctrine
The entire Bible is a book of doctrine, or teaching of beliefs or truths, but if you are wanting to know where to start, try Romans or Galatians. From there go to the four gospels and Paul's writings; and keep reading, asking who does God say He is in His Word?
Salvation
If you are wanting to know more about salvation, read the Gospel of John or the book of Romans. Especially read John chapters 1, 3, 10 and 14. Read Romans chapters 3, 5, 6 and 10 along with Ephesians chapter 2 and
2 Corinthains chapter 5.
